Top 5 Loose Snus Products
It's no secret that I'm a big fan of loose snus. There aren't a lot of these products on the market, sadly. While the world of snus is mostly dominated by portions, and the nicotine pouch category is rising and growing, loose snus has fallen by the wayside over the years. However, it is still the beginning, the origin, the standard for what snus is. At least, in my opinion. So, today we're going to tackle the world of loose snus, and I'm going to lay out my top 5 favorite loose snus products out there! Let's check them out.
Göteborgs Prima Fint - SnusExpress Product Description: "A premium-quality loose snus from the manufacturer Swedish Match that has a dark and smoky tobacco flavor with notes of dried fruits and rose hip."
Why it made the list: This has been, since the earliest days of my snus journey, my favorite loose product. To some, it may be boring. It is a relatively simple flavor. But, to me, that's what makes it work. It is the perfect all day snus. A simple, straightforward, lightly sweet flavor of tobacco. It is, without a doubt, my top mark.
Grov Loose - SnusExpress Product Description: "A classic Grov Snus with a robust and dark tobacco flavor with hints of geranium and dried herbs."
Why it made the list: Like Prima Fint, Grov is one that focuses on the tobacco taste. But while Prima is a more light taste, Grov has more body. This one has a rich, dark, full taste of tobacco, but with a hint of geranium to it. It has an incredible flavor, and is one that really brings out the full flavor of tobacco.
Röda Lacket Loose - SnusExpress Product Description: "An iconic and classic Swedish loose snus with a flavor of dark tobacco, dried fruits, leather, herbs and smoke."
Why it made the list: Prima Fint is a product that only comes in loose. The other one is this one, Roda Lacket. There used to be a portion version of this one, but sadly it went away. But, it's still available in loose! This one has a nice tobacco base, but it has added hints of dark fruit that are quite tasty. Whether you like tobacco taste or fruit taste, this one has it all.
Islay Whiskey Loose - SnusExpress Product Description: "A smoky loose snus with a flavor of robust tobacco and tones of whiskey."
Why it made the list: I really like Islay Whisky Snus. And one reason is the tobacco base. Yes, I know this is a whisky flavored snus. But, the tobacco base is the star of the show here. It's dark, rich, woodsy, just really tasty stuff. The whisky flavor is there, and whisky lovers will enjoy this one, but to me I like this one so much for the tobacco base.
Skruf #3 Stark Loose - SnusExpress Product Description: "A loose snus with a classic tobacco, bergamot and rose
oil flavor."
Why it made the list: I know General probably deserved a spot on this list, but I felt like including one that doesn't get discussed as much - Skruf Stark Loose. This one has the flavor of Skruf with a great, easy to work with grind. You get a nice tobacco base, along with hints of rose oil, which add a lot of complexity to the flavor. It's really good stuff.
The Bottom Line
And there you have it, my top 5 loose products. Granted, there aren't a lot of loose products on the market. And honestly, there isn't a bad one. But, to me, these 5 stand out amongst all the others.
