We're calling it: Walk-in showers are the hottest bathroom trend since clawfoot tubs. We first spotted the rising trend in the homes of interior design darlings like Kelly Mindell, Garance Doré, and Mandy Moore, but lately, we can't scroll through our Instagram feeds without stumbling across a well-appointed walk-in shower worth double tapping—and we get the appeal. Aesthetics aside, walk-in showers are surprisingly eco-friendly.

"Walk-in showers are replacing tub/shower combos in many homes as we become more water conscious," interior designer Natalie Myers of Veneer Designs tells MyDomaine. "They take up the same average footprint of a standard tub but feel bigger and more spacious when enclosed in glass." How, you might ask? "Continuing the floor tile into the shower area underscores the feeling of one big space," she explains.
