The Rock and The Hoff are out there keeping beaches safe for us all.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson posted a picture on Instagram of himself and David Hasselhoff on the set of the “Baywatch” movie, in which Johnson will star.

“In the 80’s he drove the coolest car on the planet,” Johnson wrote. “In the 90’s he dominated slo-mo running on the beach with the most successful TV show of all time. And today he’s simply Still the f’n man.”

“Phenomenal day on set with my brotha – the OG himself @DavidHasselhoff – the man who started it all,” he continued. “Great dude with a great sense of humor. AND he trained his ass off for our movie.”

Johnson announced earlier this month that Hasselhoff would appear in the film adaptation of the classic 1990s series, in which Hassselhoff played lifeguard and expert slo-mo runner Mitch Buchannon.

Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra, Kelly Rohrbach and Hannibal Buress will also star in the big screen adaptation.

The story follows a veteran lifeguard (Johnson) who is forced to team up with a younger lifeguard (Efron) to save the beach from an environmental disaster.

Damian Shannon and Mark Swift wrote the most recent draft of the screenplay, while Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman are producing. Seth Gordon recently signed on to direct. Producers are targeting an early 2016 start.

“Baywatch” is currently slated for a May 19, 2017, release date.
