Dua Lipa, the chart-topping pop star, has made a fiery return to social media by debuting her new red hair on Instagram. The "Levitating" singer took a break from the platform and deleted all of her previous photos before posting the snapshot of her new look.

She posed in a red, white, and blue tank top with minimal makeup and tagged photographer and filmmaker Tyrone Lebon, hinting at new music. Lipa captioned the snap with "Miss me?" and fans were quick to welcome her back, expressing their excitement for her next project.

Fans speculated that the Grammy winner was gearing up to release new music, with some suggesting that her next album will be released in 2024. Lipa confirmed this in an interview with the New York Times, stating that she is developing a "new sound," though it "will still be pop."

"It's definitely been a weird time, and you never really know what the right thing to do is at a time like this," Lipa said. "But I'm really excited to put this album out now to give people time to live with it and listen to it when they're home. I hope it will brighten people's day."

Lipa has been busy with other projects

During her hiatus from music, the London native starred in Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" movie as a blue-haired mermaid. She has also been dating French director Romain Gavras, and the couple made their red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

One fan commented, "We are so ready for you," while another chimed in with, "I can't wait to hear what you have in store for us." Lipa's previous album, "Future Nostalgia," was released in 2020, and she revealed that she wanted to give people something to listen to during the COVID-19 pandemic.
