For any Jane Austen fans out there (or even just Douglas Booth fans) the release of P**ride and Prejudice and Zombies - a modern twist on the classic - has arrived. And what better way to celebrate than with an interview with the ever so gorgeous Douglas Booth?

Hey Douglas, were you nervous about taking on this role?

Not really. Obviously I'm aware how precious people are because it's one of our great novels , but I knew the team that were behind it, and David Russell had done the first draft of the script. He also did The Fighter, so I knew it was going to be good. And as soon as I read it I was like, 'This is brilliant this is so much fun'.

Do you share any qualities with your character in the movie?

Bbefore I started this I'd done a string of movies where I was playing a really horrible person - in The Riot Club or Jupiter Ascending. I was just playing bad, nasty peeople, so I was like, 'I can't wait to play like a lovable one'. Bingley is really lovable, he's a bit of a puppy, very affable and everyone likes him. It was nice to play a character and think, 'Oh I have to go into work today and just be loved by everyone!'.

Is our cover star Lily James fun to work with?

Lily is a really, really close friend of mine, I knew her before this as well, and she's great. She's everything you want her to be; she's a perfect leading lady, super talented, takes her job very seriously but knows how to have fun at the same time.

Have you heard the news? Aidan Turner - who you've worked with recently - is GLAMOUR's Sexiest Man of 2016. Do you think the title would go to his head?

The thing about Aidan is he is a typical Irish guy, he's down to earth, takes everything in his stride, and I don't think it will go to his head, no. I'm sure it will go on his bedside table, but no definitely wouldn't go to his head.

Which is a better night out, the Oscars or the GLAMOUR Awards?

Well, I've never been to the Oscars so I would have to say the GLAMOUR Awards. It's always good fun, it's always such a lovely group of people that come together, it's not too fussy!

Saoirse Ronan is tipped for success at this year's Oscars - are you championing her, given that you've worked together?

There is not a more wonderful, humble, kind person out there she really is a gem, really. There's no falseness to her at all. Getting nominated for an Oscar at such a young age - and she will get nominated again - it's a great performance, she's definitely got a big shot at it. I mean she can just melt you with her eyes cant she? I mean her pupils should get an Oscar alone.

You worked with Eddie Redmayne and he won an Oscar, so now we're thinking you're the lucky charm here...

I am a lucky charm! Everyone must work with me now, because you'll win Oscars!

Pride and Predjudice and Zombies is out NOW. Watch the trailer, here.

Watch an interview we did with Douglas last year, when I embarassed him by giving him a Valentine's Day card...
