If any of you out there are still busy shipping Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, I’ve got news for you. Tom Felton, the actor who played Draco Malfoy, just said Harry was actually in love with him the entire time.
Some of the members of the cast, including Rupert Grint (who played Ron Weasley), stopped by AOL to participate in its In The Know segment. While there, they played a game of “Fact or Fanfic?” together, and that’s how it came up.
Rupert asked Tom, “Fact or fanfic? Even while he was with Ginny, Harry was always in love with Draco.”
And Tom didn’t even hesitate. “Ah!” he joked, smiling. “I think it was clearly a fact. Harry was constantly crushing on Draco. He just couldn’t hide it.”
LOL. YES. Do you hear that sound? That’s the sound of hundreds of Draco + Harry shippers around the world screaming “YAAAS.” The funny thing is, Rupert said the same thing about his character and Harry.
“I think he made quite an impression on Ron as well,” Rupert said.
“Yes,” Tom agreed. “Well, exactly. It could have gone either way, really.” Wow, can you imagine a situation in which Harry was actually part of a love triangle with Draco and Ron? That’s a remake I’d actually see.
