About us

Welcome to our Riviera, in the southernmost part of Split-Dalmatia County.

Fifteen kilometres of coastline and 36 pebble beaches are the key aspect of our tourist offer. You can book accommodation in hotels, camps and apartments – all marked by their friendly hosts. We all live with our guests. Because of you, we organize various events from June to September. Did you know that the first beauty pageant in the Republic of Croatia was held right at our destination, back in 1925?
Rich cultural heritage is present in the coastal places as well as in mountain hamlets characterized by traditional Dalmatian architecture. Nowadays the hamlets are interconnected by designated walking, cycling and hiking trails. The network of these trails is surrounded by renewed old olive groves, vineyards and centuries-old pine forests. A gem of our part of the Makarska Riviera is five and a half centuries-old Franciscan monastery of St. Mary in Zaostrog. Its valuable collections containing a number of unique historical artefacts capture the attention of every visitor, and the hours go by like minutes there. The serenity of the monastery’s garden provides a place to meditate and relax, even during high season. However, even tour operators are not familiar enough with the fact that the sea temperature along our Riviera is comfortable for swimming almost six months in a year.

With the desire to make your vacation even more interesting and give you reasons to visit us in preseason and postseason, our tour operators offer dozens of various excursions and incentive trips – from the valley of Neretva, Dubrovnik, Trogir and Split, to visiting selected wine cellars in Pelješac and Hvar, or even Međugorje which is only 60 kilometres away. Our destination is ideally located, equally distant from great UNESCO sites – 100 kilometres from both Split and Dubrovnik and 80 kilometres from Hvar and Mostar (BiH). The gastronomic offer of this area is rooted in the past, while eco-friendly ingredients give our dishes a unique aroma of long-lost times.

We want you to spend an unforgettable holiday full of content on our Riviera and recognize it as your own, in the same way that we, your hosts, recognize you as our own.

We are expecting you!
