Bridal Gown Inspiration

I like structured but romantic gowns that are fitted through the hip and have trumpet and modified mermaid gowns. I like floral and beading details. Veli wants me to have straps...we'll see! I'm thinking something like the below dresses (maybe even one of them!) in a soft ivory.

**UPDATE: I bought my dress, and it's gorgeous, but I won't put a picture of it here, since my lovely fiance likes to check up on my planning! It's an Enzoani gown in ivory...has details similar to the "inspiration" photos posted below. Plus the style goes with all three of my bridesmaids gown styles...(they're Enzoani gowns also).

Bridal Shoes Inspiration

For a bit of fun and a splash of unexpected color, I'll be wearing purple shoes (that match my BM gowns) under my dress. I haven't decided on a pair, yet, but the idea was inspired by this lovely bride to the left. Photo via Snippet & Ink. I'm thinking for a DIY, I'm going to rhinestone the heels of my purple bridal shoes like the black Miu Miu shoes below.

Rhinestone DIY  Heels

This is what I'm thinking about doing to the purple pair of shoes that I choose. Except with purple rhinestones. (shoes by Miu Miu, taken from BlueFly.com)

This would be a good example of the color and style I'm thinking...I'll probably have to get them dyed to match.

Bridesmaid Dresses

I love the look and color (Eggplant) and style  of all three of these Enzoani "love" collection gowns...and the antique jewelry detailing on each gowns is fitting for the elegant whimsy of a formal event in a rustic vineyard. When I saw this ad in a bridal magazine, I was struck by how pretty the three styles looked together, and liked the idea of having each girl in the style they chose. We ended up getting a discount from the dress shop where I bought my bridal gown. Since the girls loved the dresses, we are going with them. 2 girls in the strapped style, and 3 each in both of the strapless styles. I'm so excited and can't wait for the pictures that will come from these gorgeous dresses!

BM Dress Detail

Look at the gorgeous floral brooch on the first dress (style A7). It's similar to the detailing on my dress, so that will be kind of a nice touch. Two of my bridesmaids, Niki & my little sister, Danielle will be wearing this one.

 BM Dress #1 Back

This is the back of the dress above. It's my favorite part of the dress...and I love how it matches the back of the Flower Girl dress that Natalia will be wearing!

BM Dress #2 Detail

I love the jewelry "belt" on this (style A18) gown...so unique and so cool! Plus my gown has a sweetheart neckline, so it will go nicely. Three of my bridesmaids, Colleen, Emi & Gagan will be wearing this dress.

BM Dress #3 Detail

I love the rhinestone beading on the top of this dress (style A29)...it makes it special, and my gown has a rouched waist as well...so it will be a nice coordination. Two of my bridesmaids and my MOH will be wearing this dress: sister Annie, little sister Allie, and Shannon.

Flower Girl

Our sweet flower girl is my (and soon-to-be Veli's) niece, Natalia, who will be 6 in July. My sister and I joke that she is really my "half-daughter" because we're so close. So it will be special for her to be a part of our day. I'm going to have her wear this Jordan flower girl dress (style L910) in Ivory, and my mom will alter the dress so that the sash will be in Eggplant, like the bridesmaids. I simply love the elegance of the deep v back on this dress...it matches the back of the dress that two of my bridesmaids will be wearing...the first of the 3 purple Enzoani "love" dresses above.
