Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has confirmed he will return to the boxing ring in February 2022.

Iron Mike, the boxing Hall of Famer who turns 56 next June, is rumoured to be facing YouTuber-turned boxer, Logan Paul.

The report comes from social media outlet Drama Alert. Speaking to The Sun, Tyson confirmed he will be getting back into the ring in early 2022.

“I am going to have a return fight in February and we are pretty sceptical about the opponent, but it will be a really stimulating opponent,” he said.

When asked previously if he would face either Paul brother - Jake or Logan - Tyson suggested that the money would be too good to resist.

“That is the fight for the money. Those are the money-making fights, those guys got 35 million people to watch," he said last year.

“Yes. Hell, I would fight them. They would fight me. That would make a lot of money. Hundred million dollars, they do anything, they don’t mind getting beat up for a hundred million dollars.”

However, in the past few months, Tyson has become pretty close with the younger Paul brother, Jake.

While the Logan matchup is firmly in the realm of possibility - mainly because he prefers exhibitions over professional bouts - fighting Jake is not.

“My family loves Jake Paul. So f***ing easy (I would knock him out). Yeah, but I never would," he said on the Full Send Podcast earlier this month.

“I would be against my own f***ing family. They love this little white motherf***er. You know what I mean? He has f***ing balls.”

Logan Paul’s last outing saw him go the distance with all-time great Floyd Mayweather. Paul lasted the eight rounds and came out of the fight with way more credit than many were prepared to give him previously.

Tyson fought Roy Jones Jr to a draw after eight rounds in November 2020.
