Kowloon Walled City
九龍寨城

Introduction
Kowloon Walled City - 九龍寨城/九龍城寨
(Cantonese Yale: Gáu lùng jāai sìng / Gáu lùng sìng jāai)

Kowloon Walled City was a densely populated and largely ungoverned enclave in Hong Kong. Located within the Kowloon City District.

Built as an Imperial Chinese military fort, the walled city became an enclave after the New Territories were leased to the United Kingdom in 1898. Its population increased dramatically after the end of the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong during World War II, attracting mostly refugees fleeing the renewed Chinese Civil War.

There was largely no governing of the city, therefore the city's citizens and businesses had no building codes to adhere to. Businesses that dealt in otherwise banned products, like dog meat, thrived. From the 1950s to the 1970s, it was controlled by local triads and had high rates of prostitution, gambling, and drug abuse.

By the late 1980s, a thorough government survey estimated 33,000 people resided within the walled city. Based on this survey, the walled city had a population density of approximately 1,255,000 inhabitants per square kilometer, making it the most densely populated spot in the world.

In January 1987, the Hong Kong government announced plans to demolish the walled city. After an arduous eviction process, and the agreement from the Chinese and British government, demolition began in March 1993 and was completed in April 1994.

Kowloon Walled City Park opened in December 1995 and occupies the area of the former walled city. Some historical artifacts from the walled city, including its yamen (衙門) building and remnants of its southern gate, have been preserved there.

Description
The nearby Kai Tak Airport was the only structure that prevented the buildings inside the walled city from rising higher than 13 or 14 stories. Considering that the standards in Hong Kong are already high, the height and density of those buildings are far higher than in other areas of the city at the time.

There are 5 buildings included in this pack; 1x3 lot size, level 2. One of them is a corner building, and they all have windows on every side to provide flexibility when placing.

@TurboCobra Thanks for the comment 😃

@teremoto Unfortunately it only has five level 2 buildings in it, far less enough to make a district style.

@war4sure That's interesting 😮. The walled city did really inspired many creations

@nilepereiraa Thank you! I'll like to make it sometime, meanwhile you can alter my current buildings to make them resemble the monster building by using procedural objects

Is it possible for you to make a district style of this?
