Douglas Booth: Long Highlighted Hair

Rated  2.0 2 Star

Douglas Booth’s long, highlighted hair is quite a different look for the lantern-jawed actor.

Usually seen with more obvious heart-throb hair (aka shorter and floppier of fringe), this collar-length look with growing out colour gives him a grungier vibe.

Why We Love It:

We thought he was pretty enough to get away with any hairstyle, but Douglas Booth’s long, highlighted hair isn’t exactly his best look.

Though MFH is here for the slightly grungy vibe – and those faded out pastel pink tones in the second shot – his hair is too fine to carry off the longer length.

And though the blonde highlights in the first shot look good with his skin tone, the process will have damaged his hair, making it harder to keep it looking healthy as it grows.

Word of advice Doug: a shorter haircut with that washed out pink colour would get the serious thumbs up from MFH.

What To Ask Your Barber:

  • Douglas Booth’s long, highlighted hair is a one-length hairstyle, with a slightly shorter fringe (which has grown out to just below ear length).
  • Even though Douglas has clearly been growing his hair, it would need small, regular trims every couple of months to get rid of the split ends, especially as his hair is so fine and looks so delicate.
  • In the main shot, the blonde highlights look to have grown out so they’re just visible on the mid-lengths to ends of his hair now.
  • Never attempt to bleach/highlight your hair at home – there’s a huge margin for error. And hair loss!

  • If you have fine hair, like Douglas Booth’s long, highlighted hair it’ll need a lot of TLC.
  • After washing your hair, towel dry by gently squeezing out the excess water. Don’t rub hair or you’ll make it fluffy.
  • Follow with a thickening lotion to create strength and body.
  • Pop in some JVN Air Dry Cream to give it a glossy frizz-free look.
  • Then part it on the side, brush it over slightly and let it air dry if you want a no fuss option.
  • Or else use a hairdryer on a medium setting – hang your head upside down as you blow dry the underneath as that’ll add some volume.
  • To highlight the shine and make it look healthy, rub a couple of drops of hair oil between your fingers and run over the hair.
  • You could also slick it back into a pony tail with pomade if you want a sleek look.
  • Use a deep conditioning treatment once a week. Always use heat protector if you’re blowdrying it.
