English: Synagogue has been built between 1923-1925 on the site of an earlier Moorish-style building from 1863. It was designed by Hungarian architect Lipót Baumhorn. It was consecrated on 9 of August 1925. It is ranked among the largest synagogues in Europe. Slovenčina: Synagóga bola postavená v rokoch 1923-25 na mieste staršej budovy v maurskom štýle z roku 1863. Autorom projektu bol maďarský architekt Lipót Baumhorn. Vysvätená bola 8.9.1925. Zaradili ju medzi najväčšie synagógy v Európe.
