There have been some amazing LEGO Star Wars: The Clone Wars sets based on the incredible animated series and movie over the years – here are the five biggest so far.
For the Republic! Star Wars: The Clone Wars went from feeling like a Saturday morning cartoon to a legendary piece of TV history, starting with a simple first season and ending up as a home for some of Star Wars’ greatest stories – period. From its spectacular characters like Captain Rex and Ahsoka Tano to Kevin Kiner’s fanfare score, it proved itself over time despite a rocky theatrical launch.
With the release of a seventh season in 2020, The LEGO Group began to produce material from the show once again. Only modern set has made this list, 75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship. All other entries are from the original run and feature animation inspired faces, for better or for worse. Here are the five largest LEGO Star Wars: The Clone Wars sets so far.
5. 75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship (1,083 pieces)
75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship is a bit of an anomaly on this list, making it an odd first entry. Unlike the others, it serves as a military police gunship instead of a front-facing military craft for the Coruscant Guard. Led by Clone Commander CC-1010, also known as Commander Fox, two Clone Shock Troopers are ready to detain conspirators against the Republic. The gunship itself is smaller than fans are used to, but its rich dark red and white livery and refined build make it a worthwhile vehicle for your collection. Without its signature bubble turrets, it’s able to fully enclose for long-range space pursuits, too. Padme and Chancellor Palpatine make welcome appearances.
4. 9515 The Malevolence (1,101 pieces)
Within the first few episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the audience is introduced to a behemoth. 9515 The Malevolence is an exciting flagship model that employs fun play features, like the two ‘functioning’ mega ion cannons, a full bridge and a semi-microscale tram system. From the outside, this mysterious blue Separatist cruiser has typical detail for sets from that era. Some would call it a little uncivilised by modern standards, but it still holds appeal for Clone Wars fans and a boosted price on the aftermarket. Padme Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku and General Grievous are included with Clone Wars face prints.
3. 8098 Clone Turbo Tank (1,141 pieces)
What’s big, has five wheels, and can somewhat interact with the largest entry on our list? 8098 Clone Turbo Tank. It has the most pieces of the three play-scale Turbo Tanks released so far, and features far better detail than 9515 The Malevolence. You’ll enjoy building its roof turrets, minifigure levers for side detailing and ‘windowed’ front. Excitingly, the model includes a minifigure-scale AT-RT that’s at the right scale and size – something that would be revisited in 75151 Clone Turbo Tank six years later. Two Clone Troopers, Aayla Secura, Cad Bane, Ahsoka Tano, and Anakin Skywalker are ready for action.

2. 8039 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser (1,170 pieces)
8039 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser is the perfect foil to the enormous 9515 The Malevolence, albeit one that would be decimated by its cannons. This model is largely successful at capturing the exterior of the famed Venator, while balancing an interesting play-scale interior and bomb-dropping play feature. Massive orbital cannons appear on either side of this model, with a gigantic rocket-firing turret at the ready within. Perhaps the most interesting part of this model is Chancellor Palpatine’s misplaced office, which offers gorgeous ornate detailing atypical of 2009 Star Wars sets. The scheming chancellor is flanked by two Senate Commandos, a Clone Trooper pilot and a Clone Trooper gunner.
1. 10195 Republic Dropship with AT-OT Walker (1,758 pieces)
Finishing off the list with a bang comes 10195 Republic Dropship with AT-OT Walker, a marvel of engineering more than a beautiful display model. This beloved direct-to-consumer set is highly sought-after by Clone Wars fans, though finding an affordable copy new or used is prohibitively expensive. The included dropship can lift the AT-OT and land it using a simple sliding mechanism, something that hasn’t been seen in other LEGO Star Wars sets. It can also lift 8098 Clone Turbo Tank with some success and 7675 AT-TE Walker with the main cannon turned to the side. It features awesome nose art similar to 7676 Republic Attack Gunship, too. The set is famous for including two Clone Trooper pilots and no less than six Phase I Clone Troopers, as well as 16 dark green seats.
